"I came into work with a new attitude (at least I tried...it was my first day doing NHA). I had a group today with my students in the ES class and I threw out my original idea and went with something you discussed yesterday in the seminar. I had each student write down their "story". I also wrote down 2 stories of famous people with difficult childhoods and my own story.

I shared the three that I had and asked them to picture what that person may look like, act like, etc. Then I shared who the individuals were. Needless to say they were shocked (amazed at my own story). Then we talked about how our "stories", though a part of who we are, do not define us and what our capabilities are. They then crumpled them up and we all threw them away.

It was so empowering! I can't thank you enough for giving me the boost that I so deeply needed!"
